October: Far Niente- Vintner Dinner Friday, October 10, 2014
Founded in Oakville, California in 1885 and restored in 1979, Far Niente is consistently recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. A dedication to winemaking in its highest form, paired with a focus on house style, vineyard ownership and social responsibility, has established Far Niente as one of the world’s great wine estates. Established by the partners of Far Niente in 1997, Nickel & Nickel is focused on producing singlevineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the appellation’s most significant AVAs. A small collection of single-vineyard Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel complements the portfolio. Addtionally Founded by the partners of Far Niente, who began experimenting with Pinot Noir in the 1980s, EnRoute is the culmination of a 30-year passion for Pinot. Our journey convinced us that the best opportunity to consistently and successfully create the focused, textured, yet graceful Pinot Noir wines we treasure is in the Russian River Valley. EnRoute has made a serious and deep commitment to the region, establishing vineyards and a winery devoted to capturing the magical essence of Pinot Noir.

November: Thomas Fogarty Winery- Vintner Dinner Friday, November 14, 2014
Thomas Fogarty Winery was founded in 1978 by inventor Dr. Thomas Fogarty and winemaker Michael Martella. Dr Fogarty’s penchant for innovative thought and Martella’s viticulture instincts allowed them to lead the development of the cool Skyline Ridge area; true pioneers in one of California’s premiere Pinot Noir and Chardonnay regions. Today this area boasts the most prestigious planting of these two varieties in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Few wine regions on earth can match the climates, soils and vertigo-inducing views of the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation. Situated at 2000 feet above sea level, the Fogarty winery offers a rare confluence of great vineyard sites and sweeping panoramas of the San Francisco Bay area.

Located at the very heart of the Stags Leap District, the original Stags’ Leap Winery, established in 1893, continues a proud winemaking heritage in the prestigious appellation that bears the winery name. An intimate valley within the greater Napa Valley, Stags’ Leap is a place of natural beauty, storied buildings, a lively history, and a reputation for elegant wines showing finesse and intensity. Paying attention to the estate’s volcanic and alluvial soils, understanding and working with its potential, lies at the heart of winemaking on this historic estate. Foremost producer of Napa Valley Petite Sirah and one of the leading Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons Winemaker Christophe Paubert embraces an old world style of crafting estate grown and terroir-driven wines that are a pure expression of the land.
