Group Fitness Classes
The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island Fitness Center is open 24/7 with room key access. Use of the fitness center is reserved for hotel guests 18 and over, or those 12 to 17 years of age accompanied by a supervising adult. For your safety and the safety of others, proper footwear, closed toed shoes and fitness attire is required
- Full range of cardio equipment includes treadmills, elliptical machines, recumbent and stationary bikes, all equipped with a private entertainment system
- Free weights and dual adjustable cable weight system
- Stability balls, yoga mats, resistance bands, steps and jump ropes
- Open 24 Hours/ 7 Days per Week – guest room key required for access
- Fitness Center Attendant available 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily
Group Fitness Classes
A variety of group fitness classes are offered on Friday and Saturday at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Classes are geared to all levels of fitness, and may be held outdoors (weather permitting) Sunday through Thursday: Private and Group fitness classes are available by 24-hour advance registration only and additional fees may apply.
- Aqua Aerobics
A well-balanced workout that improves all major physical fitness components, from aerobic training and muscular strength, to flexibility and body composition.
- Nordic Walking
A hybrid exercise combining fitness walking and cross country skiing, shown to reduce belly fat and build core upper body muscular endurance.
- Boot Camp Challenge
A unique approach to fitness, leveraging the great outdoors as a natural “gym.”
- Cardio Tone
Build strength and endurance of your large muscle group while bringing your heart beat up. Low weights and high reps to sound of energizing music will leave you feeling good.
- Island 5K
Enjoy shaded tree-lined pathways and a spectacular ocean view on a guided three mile running tour of the island. $25 per person.
- Beach Yoga
Invigorate, empower and detoxify in this yoga class for all levels. Begin with a focus on breathing and slowly move into basic poses that will tone your body by using your own body weight to increase flexibility and improve strength.
- Kettlebell Beach Ballistics
A fast movement exercise to increase strength, stamina and coordination by challenging the muscular, cardiovascular and central nervous systems simultaneously.
- Couples Workout
Designed to increase energy, self-confidence, foster closeness. improve intimacy and reduce stress. Routines are done simultaneously and in harmony. Caloric expenditure is the goal and the emphasis will be on enjoyment of the exercises. This workout adds a greater sense of closeness with your partner and further strengthens the bond between both of you.
Running tours are available for groups or individuals, and can be modified to accommodate any fitness level or pace. Advance reservations are recommended.
Achieve your personal fitness goals with a customized one-on-one workout led by a certified personal trainer. Each session will be designed to effectively target your desired results, using a combination of cardio, core strength and flexibility training.
$85 per hour. Advance reservations are required.
Bicycles are available for individual exploration of the island.
