La Mediterranee is the perfect place for all-day dining from breakfast to dinner, whether for business travelers or families. We offer extravagant buffets, a blend of Continental, Arabic and Far Eastern cuisine,” says Widayat Partorejo, chef de cuisine. On Wednesday evenings, guests indulge in our Oriental buffet and on Thursdays it’s all about seafood - not to forget The Ritz-Carlton Brunch taking place at La Mediterranee every Friday, including a multitude choice of live cooking stations.

Previous to his assignment at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain in July 2008, chef Widayat served as chef de cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta, Indonesia. There he had the opportunity of being in charge of the banquet kitchen, operating 15 meeting rooms as well as a ballroom capacity for up to 3,500 guests for cocktail receptions, and the prime steak house of the luxury hotel. From 2002 to 2004, he used to work as junior sous chef at The Alfaisaliah Rosewood Hotels and Resort, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A native of Indonesia, chef Widayat brings with him extensive culinary skills which have been crafted since he started his career 17 years ago. Chef Widayat has been recognized as “Leader of the Quarter” by The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain in May 2009.
