“It’s a great pleasure for me bringing the flavors and spices of my country to Bahrain and creating every day memorable experiences for our guests while taking them on special journey to India”, says Mahipal Singh, executive Indian chef.

Previous to his assignment at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain in July 2003, chef Mahipal served at the Indian restaurant Bukhara at the Sheraton Kuwait Hotel & Towers. Before that he used to work as head chef from 1998 to 2001 at the Salmani Palace in Kuwait. In September 2008, chef Mahipal was given the honor of a guest chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta, Indonesia, to promote the Indian cuisine and his culinary creations over a period of four weeks at the luxury hotel.

The native Indian started his career 17 years ago in New Dehli, India, and brings with him an extensive knowledge of leadership experience. Chef Mahipal has been recognized as “Learning Coach of the Quarter” by The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain in 2007 and with the Award of Culinary Excellence ACE of “Rising Star Chef” in 2010 by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Besides that he has won with his culinary team over three consecutive years the Time Out Restaurant Award 2010, 2011 and 2012 for the ‘Best Indian Restaurant’ in Bahrain.
