Culinary Center: Restaurant and Cooking School



The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun proudly boasts the first Viking® Culinary Center within the brand, which features striking equipment and graciously overlooks the Caribbean Sea. In this residential-style kitchen one can enjoy formal cooking in an essentially casual environment. The venue is highlighted by 12 counter seats, facing the chef's main cooking station, which allows for pleasurable entertainment and delighting interaction.

In every session, delicious, locally-sourced cuisine with a creative twist is served and the menu is modified periodically. When cooking, our chefs blend regional ingredients with masterful techniques which results in a menu grounded on what tastes good. And to add more to this enjoyable feast, each dish is prepared á la minute and paired with selected wine pairings.

In order to please gourmands and newbies alike, charismatic our chefs have personally created an array of cooking experiences which offer the most amusing dining experiences. From interactive cooking lessons to amusing culinary shows, any experience makes up for a fun night at our Viking® Culinary Center.

The Culinary Center allows guests ages 16 and up, reservations are required.

Enjoy the privilege of having front row seats in a fun and entertaining food exhibition as you settle at this intimate 12 seat space for a unique dining experience. Featuring the creative yet traditional cuisine of the entertaining chefs of The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, the pre-fix dinner menu consists of five dishes created a la minute with sophisticated wine pairings.
Cooking Lessons
 


Interactive gourmet sessions where one can learn culinary insights directly from a team of professionals. Our cooking lessons include an entertaining class, with four simple yet exquisite dishes inspired in Mexican and Italian cuisine, paired with wines and zesty cocktails. This engaging experience is both fun and educational.
Extreme Chef
 


Meeting Planners and group attendees alike, can trade their suits for aprons as they partake in an amusing Chef competition. This teambuilding cook-off will entertain and foster camaraderie between colleagues. This chefs’ battle encourages participants to prepare a menu utilizing a secret ingredient to later be judged by a discerning panel of cooking experts.

Private Sessions can be customized based on the specific program’s needs.
Regional Culinary Journey
 


Explore the Yucatan Peninsula and its vibrant collection of traditional flavors, starting with an escorted tour to the colorful Market 23. Learn how to prepare popular local dishes such as Salbutes, Panuchos and Cochinita Pibil. The Regional Culinary Journey includes transportation to and from the resort, an escorted tour to Market 23 and an interactive cooking lesson with the Culinary Center chef.
