Downtown Aquarium was re-opened on July 1, 2005 as an entertainment and dining complex featuring a public aquarium. Boasting more than one million gallons of underwater exhibits that highlight fascinating ecosystems around the world, the aquarium houses more than 500 species of animals, an interactive Sting Ray Reef touch tank, the Aquarium Restaurant, the Dive Lounge, the Nautilus Ballroom, and amusements for the entire family.

Founded in 1896, the Denver Zoo was started with just one tenant; a black bear cub named Billy Bryan. The bear cub was a gift the Mayor, who then turned the cub over to the keeper of the City Park, Alexander J. Graham. Today the zoo is home to 4,000 animals representing over 750 species and is one of the most popular zoos in the United States.

The Denver Botanic Gardens is a public botanical garden located in the heart of Denver just 10 minutes east of Downtown. The 23-acre park contains a conservatory, a variety of theme gardens and a sunken amphitheater, which hosts various concerts in the summer. The Denver Botanic Gardens was one of the first gardens in the country to emphasize native plants and to champion environmentally responsible practices, such as water conservation and biological control of pests. Today, Denver Botanic Gardens continues this tradition at three unique sites: Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield and Mount Goliath. Each of these demonstrates the varied ecosystems of Colorado. Most of all, Denver Botanic Gardens offers spectacular plant displays, unlimited opportunities for lifelong learning and research that help preserve Colorado's precious natural resources.

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is the Rocky Mountain region's leading resource for informal science education. A variety of exhibitions, programs, and activities help Museum visitors experience the natural wonders of Colorado, Earth, and the universe. The museum is also home to an IMAX and Planetarium. Children will enjoy Discovery Zone, an interactive discovery center.

Founded in 1972 and dedicated to excellence in the arts, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is a showcase for live theater and a nurturing ground for new plays.

Home to the Colorado Rockies Major League Baseball team, the 76-acre ballpark stands at 20th and Blake streets in Denver's lower downtown, or LoDo, district. Fans sitting in the first base and right-field areas are treated to a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains. Every year since it opened in 1995, Coors has been a leader in league attendance. Most of the stadium seats are green; however, the upper deck's 20th row is painted purple, signifying exactly one mile above sea level.

With 584,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, the Colorado Convention Center is one of the most practical, user-friendly and technologically advanced meeting facilities ever built. The Center offers amazing view of the Rocky Mountains and Denver skyline and a 5,000-seat theater. With a Light Rail System located just under the building, the Convention Center is easily accessible by all.

Situated at the edge of downtown Denver, Pepsi Center anchors Denver's thriving Lower Downtown entertainment district and is the region's newest sports and entertainment venue. The Pepsi Center is home to many professional sports teams including The Denver Nuggets (NBA Basketball), The Colorado Avalanche (NHL Hockey), The Colorado Crush (Arena Football) and The Colorado Mammoth (NLL Lacrosse).

Located in the vicinity of the old Mile High Stadium, INVESCO Field at Mile High is host to The Denver Broncos, The Colorado Rapids, and The Denver Outlaws Lacrosse team. The stadium, located just west of Interstate 25,  emphasizes state-of-the-art technology while maintaining the traditional aspects of Mile High Stadium that have given the Broncos a consistent home field advantage over the years.
