Junior guests staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain are sure to be delighted with the fun-filled Dove Mountain Rangers program. We want to ensure that your children enjoy their stay at our resort just as thoroughly as you do with this full host of activities, designed for children ages 5 - 12. This supervised program incorporates both physical and creative activities – with offerings on a full- or half-day basis.

Our Dove Mountain Rangers program offers a variety of supervised physical and creative activities designed especially for children ages 5-12. Dove Mountain Rangers incorporates Native American games, creating ancient rock art, cowboy exploration and artisan training. Themed programs include:

  • Cowboy Adventure
  • Dove Mountain Explorer
  • Viva Mexico
  • Rangers Night out

Additional activities are offered on holiday weekends.

Other activities may include: Indian rock art, swimming, water balloons, Frisbee games, volleyball, Bocce Ball, board games, Wii games, relay races and tag games, tug of war and tortoise education classes.

In addition to our Dove Mountain Rangers programs, seasonally, and on special weekends, The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain also offers junior guests a variety of special services and amenities including:

In-Room Camping for children visiting with their friends and families will do away with the traditional rollaway bed and replace it with an in-room tent large enough to become a private home-away-from-home for younger guests. The In-Room Tent Experience will feature Ritz-Carlton tent delivery to the family’s guest room, tent set-up, a fun and educational book about Arizona’s spectacular high Sonoran Desert, and a keepsake desert tortoise stuffed animal. In-Room Camping not only provides “shelter” for young travelers; it also helps them imagine what the same tent adventure must have been like for the early cowboy settlers who slept outdoors under the desert stars, in the midst of the same lush Saguaro cactus forest which surrounds the resort. $99

Introducing our Dove Mountain Rangers!
An exciting program geared towards children ages 5 - 12 combining artistic and physical activities. Kids can spend a full or half-day participating in these themed programs learning about the Native Americans who inhabited the land around the resort, the Wild West, Rangers Night out and more.
Family Fun Geocaching
It's like a scavenger hunt in the desert! This GPS led activity is a fun and educational way to spend time exploring the surroundings of the resort. The GPS will guide you through the Wild Burro Canyon to predetermined locations where you locate the hidden cache box. Good luck!
Hiking
Nestled in the Tortolita Mountains, The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain has access to over 20 miles of hiking trails. Whether you are looking for an all-day excursion, a quick expedition around the canyon, or a magical way to end your day, we offer guided hikes for all levels of experience.
