With over 20 miles of hiking trails, you can experience the lush Sonoran Desert on your own or with one of our knowledgeable guides.

GROUP GUIDED HIKING

Ancient Rock Art Tour (Approximately 4 miles, 2 - 3 hours in length)
Examine several Hohokam and archaic tribal sites containing rock imagery and morteros (grinding holes) where ancient people prepared their meals. Visit well known and secret locations where the ancient ones once lived. 8:30 a.m.
Friday & Sunday, $50.

Cactus Discovery Tour (Approximately 3.5 miles, 2 - 2.5 hours in length)
Witness a multitude of cactus varieties, walk amongst giant saguaros and take in the Sonoran Desert in its truest form as you navigate the Upper and Lower Javelina Trails. 8:30 a.m., Thursday & Saturday, $50.

Sunset Vista Tour (Approximately 2.2. miles, 1.5 - 2 hours in length)
Leave the stress of the day behind you and experience the Sonoran Desert at the height of its beauty…..sunset. This hike will take you along our Upper Javelina Trail and end with a complimentary sunset cocktail upon your return. 5:30 p.m., Thursday - Saturday, $50.

It’s a scavenger hunt in the desert! Join us for a family-friendly adventure where you explore the Sonoran Desert with a GPS unit to find hidden Geocache boxes. Please visit our Concierge Desk or Ranger Headquarters for GPS rentals and map. $60 per family of five

Canyon Geocaching
With a GPS unit and a spirit of adventure as your only guides, navigate through the Wild Burro Canyon to unique points of interest, conduct environmental experiments and participate in trivia while taking in expansive vistas and experiencing the Sonoran Desert in all it’s glory. Jeep Tours
Enjoy a thrilling desert jeep ride on a pristine trail in the Sonoran Desert with Trail Dust Adventures. Experience the desert first-hand with one of their knowledgeable guides who will lead you through the plants and animals native to the Sonoran Desert. Learn about the giant saguaro cactus, and with any luck get to see one of our fascinating desert creatures. Discover the history of the land and visit an ancient Hohokam site – one of the very first inhabitants of the area surrounding the resort.
