Celebrate cultures from around the world at this annual summertime festival featuring daily and evening music and dance performances, crafts and cooking demonstrations, storytelling and discussions of cultural issues. This year’s themes are: Hungarian Heritage: Roots to Revival; One World, Many Voices: Endangered Languages and Cultural Heritage and Will to Adorn: African American Identity and the Aesthetics of Dress.

National Capital Barbecue Battle
Saturday, June 22; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 23; 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Kick off your summer with the National Capital Barbecue Battle and enjoy food samples, cooking demonstrations, interactive displays and children’s activities. This family friendly was voted as a “Top 10 BBQ Event” by The Travel Channel and Discovery.com and also features live musical entertainment, interactive exhibits, and children’s activities. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs in Washington. Tickets are $12 per adult, $5 per child ages 6-12 and children under six are free.

Social Brunch with DJ
Every Sunday excluding Holidays
Degrees Bistro & Lounge continues to enhance its Brunch on Sundays. With summer right around the corner Degrees will now offer seating on the upper terrace of the Urban Garden from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. with a DJ starting at 12 noon. Guests can experience a la carte items or the “Choose Two” option with bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Mary’s for $45.00 per person. The “Choose Two” option will allow guests to choose two items from the appetizer &entrée selections with your choice of Mimosa or Bloody Mary, complimentary valet parking is also included with your Brunch.
The hotel has partnered with local fitness expert Chris Perrin, an ACSM certified personal trainer and Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant. Every Sunday until the End of October (weather permitting) from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Perrin will lead a fitness class in the hotel’s Urban Garden.
Each session will rev up metabolism, boost fat burn, and keep participants lean and strong for the summer. This high-energy fitness class incorporates plyometrics and interval training, led by motivational instructors. The class is complimentary for hotel guests and Georgetown community neighbors.

Enjoy complimentary butler-passed s’mores every evening in front of the wood-burning fireplace. This complimentary festive treat is butler-passed every evening from 6:30 to 7 p.m. in the hotel lobby.
