CAYMAN SNORKEL ODYSSEY
Jean-Michel Cousteau has named Grand Cayman as one of the world’s best snorkeling destinations. Every creature has a job to do—find out “who” performs the role of the doctors, the sanitation engineers, the gardeners and even the sand makers. See these relationships for yourself on a snorkel trip guided by our naturalists.

TUESDAY

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A BLUE IGUANA?
Learn all about the Cayman Blue Iguanas found nowhere else in the world and they’re endangered! Travel with us to the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, where you will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme’s captive breeding facility, the most successful reptile recovery program in the world.

NIGHT SNORKEL
If you think snorkeling in the daytime is exciting, wait till you see the reef at night! Shine your flashlight on the reef to observe the “changing of the guard” as the day time critters go to sleep and the creatures of the night come out of hiding.

WEDNESDAY

UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY SNORKEL
Take photography to the next level when you put on snorkeling gear and take our cameras underwater! Learn underwater shooting techniques before heading to a pristine snorkeling site. Snap a variety of great photos and learn how to enhance them, after burn them on a CD and take home.

SUNSET MANGROVE KAYAK
As the sun begins to set, observe this amazing yet tranquil ecosystem both above and below the water from your glass bottom kayak. Finish with a glass of sparkling cider as the last rays of light hit the water.

THURSDAY

MANGROVE KAYAK ADVENTURE
Immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of the mangroves, the forests of the sea. Paddle among the mysterious roots that extend into the water, providing a nursery for reef creatures. Look up into the canopy, home to many marine birds. Our glass bottom double kayaks make sure you don’t miss a moment of the action, above or below the water!

FISH FRENZY SNORKEL
On the coral reef, it can be a fish eat fish world! Learn about the food web and the adaptations that make fish both successful predators and help them avoid becoming lunch. Observe these fish and their behaviors firsthand on our guided snorkel trip.

FRIDAY

SEA FLOOR SUBMARINE ADVENTURE
Experience the thrill of journeying beneath the sea in a real submarine. The Atlantis XI submarine was specifically designed for sightseeing and is equipped with a spacious, air conditioned cabin, maintained at sea level pressure with no effect on the ears. The smooth ride, clarity of the water and exotic creatures will amaze you as we explore Cayman’s underwater marine parks to depths of 100 feet.

SHIPWRECK SNORKEL
Hundreds of ships sank around the Cayman Islands, and their wrecks are both rich in history and form an artificial reef with an amazing diversity of marine life. Learn about Cayman’s maritime past before heading out to explore one of Cayman’s shipwrecks.

SATURDAY

UNDERWATER VIDEOGRAPHY SNORKEL
Gear up to snorkel, take our underwater cameras and get into movie mode. There’s so much action underwater, and now you can capture it. Edit your video footage to create your own mini movie trailer or movie documentary as a souvenir.
Previous snorkeling experience required.

FAMILY OPEN HOUSE
Take a break from the sun and let your craftier side shine through. Puzzles, games, crafts and trivia for the whole family. Create your own hand-painted T-Shirts using Japanese Gyotaku fish printing techniques.

EXTENDED HOURS
Extended hours of supervision are available for participants of our programs at a charge of US $30 per hour (or part thereof) per person. If desired, lunch and/or dinner can be provided, where not already stated, for an additional charge to the guest.

ADULT & FAMILY ACTIVITIES
Private activities can be personalized for any family, couple or group. If you would like to experience an activity on a day it is not offered, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Families with children under the age of 4 can utilize the Ambassadors’ Heritage House with parent/guardian supervision during times it is not being used for activities. The Ambassadors’ Turtle Splash Pool is also open daily for children of all ages.

BLUE IGUANA RECOVERY PROGRAMME GIVE BACK GETAWAY
Assist the Warden in preserving the endangered Blue Iguanas in one of the world's most successful conservation programs. Wear sunscreen, bring a hat, and avoid wearing brightly colored nail polish. This opportunity is available only to Ritz-Carlton guests.

STAR GAZING
Mystery and awe abounds when exploring the vast galaxy above us. A closer look at the night sky will help to engender a sense of place in the cosmos. Away from the glare of the big city lights, spend time looking through our high-powered telescope to reveal the moon’s craters and some of our neighboring planets. We may see such wonders as the great storm on Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. As night falls our knowledgeable Naturalist will greet you and explain how to navigate the night sky.
