As Chef of The Terrace Restaurant, Loren Lawe brings a unique energy and creativity to this Pasadena landmark. Loren began his culinary career at Disney where he catered private functions for the Presidents and Vice Presidents of the company and served various roles in the resort restaurants. After his start at Disney, Loren decided to further his culinary talents and attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and upon graduation started his career with The Ritz-Carlton, Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena.

During his tenure with Ritz-Carlton, Loren has worked from Assistant Banquet Chef to Garde Manger and eventually Garde Manger Chef where he served an additional three years. In September 2006, after nine years of experience mastering various culinary roles throughout the hotel, Chef Lawe returned to his roots as Chef at The Terrace Restaurant.

Chef Lawe believes in simplicity when cooking and describes his style to be the same. “Every type of culinary creation has already been done; the trick is doing it better than anyone else. Simple flavors and attentive presentations with great service will create a guest for life.” Chef Lawe keeps flavor as his focus, ensuring that every taste is better than the last.
