Tipping:
Unless your party size is large, tips are usually not included in any restaurants or lounge bill and the amount is left to the customer's discretion. In deciding what to give, base your tip on what and how well it performed.
Tipping guidelines:
For hotel staff, recommended amounts are $1-$3 per bag for a bellman, $1-$2 per night for housekeeping, $5-$10 for special concierge services, $1-$3 for a doorman who hails a cab or car, 15% of the greens fee for a caddie, 15%-20% of the bill for a massage, and $15% of a restaurant bill.
In a restaurant, give 15%-20% of your bill before tax, to the server, 5%-10% to the bartender and 15% of the wine bill to a wine steward who makes the special effort in selecting wine.

One of Maui's prime attractions is the weather. Maui enjoys an average annual high of 80 degrees F. Even when the forecast calls for rain, chances are it will be a brief period and much of the day will be sunny.
Clothing:
A casual resort island, dress is generally informal on Maui and in Kapalua.
Visas:
A citizen of a foreign country wishing to enter the U.S. generally must first obtain a visa, either nonimmigrant visa for temporary stay or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. The type you must have is defined by immigration law and relates to the purpose of your travel.

Location
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is situated in Kapalua Resort on the northwestern tip of the island of Maui, on 50 acres amidst a 23,000 acre pineapple plantation. The resort is 45 minutes from the Kahului Airport (OGG) and five minutes from the Kapalua Airport, which services inter-island flights only.
Taxis
Taxis are easily accessible at the OGG airport, just steps away from the baggage claim area. The rate for the ride is approximately $130 to $150 to The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
Shuttle
There is a complimentary shuttle to and from Kapalua Airport to The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
Rental Cars
Car rentals may be arranged through the Hertz Rent-A-Car or the Resort Concierge for pick-up and drop-off at either Kahului Airport, Lahaina Town or at the hotel. Advance reservations are suggested by calling Hertz at (800) 654-3131.
Chauffeured Transportation
Limousine and private car transportation can be arranged by the Resort Concierge for a fee. Advance reservations are required by calling (808) 665-7089.
ParkingValet Parking is at $18 /per day. Self Parking is $10/per day.
Room Rate and Tax Information
All room rates are per room, per night, based upon single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to the Hawaii state taxes of 11.416%, which includes the Hawaii state general excise tax of 4.166%. All rates are subject to availability and may change without notice. Connecting bedrooms may be available for certain suites at the published rate, depending upon room category.
Resort Fee
The Resort has a daily resort fee of $25 (including tax) per room which includes the following:
Cancellation Policy
Two night's room and tax will be taken seven days prior to arrival
Holiday Cancellation Policy
A full prepayment of the reservation will be charged 60-days prior to arrival. If cancellation is received within 60 days of arrival it will result in a forfeit of the entire length of stay.
Third Person Charge
The Resort has a $50 third person charge for guests of 18 years or older for all guest rooms and suites and a $50 third person charge for guests 13 and older on the Club level guest rooms and suites.
