With its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, The Alaloa Lounge is the place to view the Maui sunset, enjoy an informal lunch or, from December to April, enjoy whale-watching. The Alaloa Lounge bar design takes inspiration from the volcanic birth of the islands where lava meets the sea. A point of arrival for the resort, this indoor/outdoor venue spills onto a terrace overlooking the pool gardens below and ocean vista beyond. There is a black lava stone wall forming a back-bar, with a brilliant red ribbon of light inspired by the flow of lava, and by the long path or Alaloa from the mountains toward the sea. The illuminated onyx bar with its carved wood details and hand-blown glass pendants sets a warm glow in the heart of the lobby, long after sunset has faded.
