Hawaii is a magical place of lush foliage, majestic ocean and a brilliant blue sky. As enduring as this paradise seems, the island environment is fragile. Support local conservation efforts by participating in the enhancement of an interpretive nature trail above the Resort.
The hotel’s Partners with Nature program will take guests into Maunalei Arboretum to help preserve native Hawaiian flora by removing invasive species of plants. Guests will beautify strategically chosen locations along the trail while accompanying naturalists share their knowledge of Hawaii’s rich natural and cultural history. These service trips are led by the hotel's naturalists, with net proceeds going to support the efforts of Mālama Kahalawai, Inc., a 501-c-3 organization dedicated to the conservation of the West Maui Mountain's pristine watershed areas.
