As the sun sets, the renowned nightlife emerges with myriad clubs, lounges and bars that draw in A-list celebrities and other notable personalities.

Embark and an airboat tour; catch exhibits of beautiful birds; snakes and other reptiles; or watch an exhilarating Wildlife Show, complete with alligator wrestling at Gator Park, located in the Heart of the Florida Everglades.

The Miami Metro Zoo features more than 80 exhibits over 740 acres of beautiful developed and undeveloped park. The park’s 1,000 permanent residents encompass 400 species, including some of the world’s most exotic and endangered. Its lush parks contain 900 species of trees, palms and other plants, and it's perhaps most known for its beautiful orchids cared for by Easter Airlines Orchid.  Key Biscayne was actually the Zoo’s original home, when in 1948 three monkeys, a goat and two black bears that were purchased for $270 from a small road show stranded near Miami. These six animals were the beginning of the Crandon Park Zoo, which grew and gained recognition worldwide for its collection of exotic animals, including an aardvark, two Asian elephants, a white tiger, a pair of Indian rhinos and two Bald Eagle hatchlings. In 1980, the zoo relocated to Miami-Dade County and renamed Miami Metro Zoo; however, the resort is still home to many iguanas that roam the grounds freely and are part of the breathtaking experience at nearby Crandon Golf Course.

Anchoring the beautiful Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, the Key Biscayne Cape Florida lighthouse is the second oldest in Florida. Built in 1825, it is the only lighthouse in the U.S. to ever have suffered an Indian attack during the Seminole Indian Wars. The lighthouse has since been restored twice and the 95-foot white-brick tower (complete with 109 steps) boasts incredible sweeping views from Coconut Grove, Miami, South Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Park rangers lead guided tours, where visitors can also tour the replica of the keeper’s quarters and view movies about the rich history of the landmark and island.

Monkey Jungle is considered an innovator of many of the concepts currently seen in the design of zoological parks. It is home to nearly 400 primates, most running free on a 30 acre reserve and is one of the few protected habitats for endangered primates in the United States and the only one that the general public can explore. A total of 30 species of primates are represented at Monkey Jungle including gibbons, guenons, spider monkeys and colobus.

Established in 1936 as “The Parrot Jungle,” the popular park is home for 1,100 tropical birds, 2,000 varieties of plants and flowers, and arguably the best trained bird show in the world. Jungle Island is also home to several mammals, primates, reptiles and fish, including Hercules, the Liger; Peanut and Pumpkin, orangutan twins; and Hank, the largest crocodilian in the Western hemisphere.

A 38-acre park just a five-minute drive from the resort. Visitors will enjoy its many aquariums and exhibits and eight different marine shows, including the Flipper Dolphin show with movie-star dolphins performing tricks on the original Flipper television set and an action-packed show with Lolita, the Killer Whale. The park’s Dolphin Harbor offers swimming with the dolphins programs tailored to both children and adults. In addition, the Miami Seaquarium is a rehabilitation center for the endangered Manatee and Sea Turtle, as well as other sick and injured species until they are well enough to be released back into the wild.
