The Biggest Show on Earth
Sometimes called the Whale Capital of the West, scientists believe that Dana Point may serve as a reference “landmark” and be a prominent gathering spot for whales. Blue whales, the largest mammal to EVER inhabit the earth, feed, mate, and give birth to their calves from May through October in Southern California waters. From November through April, gray whales migrate along the coast between the calm, warm waters of Southern California and Baja to calve during winter months and feed in the cold Arctic seas during summer months, bringing these majestic whales through Dana Point. Experience the natural wonder that comes with seeing these whales while going out to sea on a chartered whale watching excursion. Monday and Thursday, 1 - 4 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. - noon and 4 - 7p.m.; $110 per person
