Children ages 3 to 12 are welcome to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday April 20, 2014 at 12 noon on the hotels plaza.

Over 500 eggs with hidden treasures inside of them will be scattered throughout the hotel lobby and outdoor plaza. Whoever uncovers one of the twelve golden eggs will receive an additional prize.

We will also have the pleasure of hosting The Easter Bunny from the hours of 12 p.m. to 1 p.m..

Giving Back with the Battery Conservancy
April 2014 - Available every Tuesday
This is a great opportunity to get your hands in soil and learn about perennial gardens and general garden care – and experience the best harbor views in town. From March through November, The Battery Conservancy’s horticulture team of four professionals works with volunteers on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon in The Battery’s gardens. Volunteer activities include operations like “Beautifying The Battery” by cleaning and beautifying the park and lawns or “Paint the Best Seats in Town” by painting and oiling Battery benches. Volunteers can also work in the gardens or in the Battery Urban Farm and assist with weeding, seeding and transplanting and selling the fresh organic vegetables at the farm stand. Vegetables that are not sold at the farm stand are donated to a Food Pantry by The Battery Conservancy. Guests participating in the activity are encouraged to wear clothing that can get dirty as well as sturdy footwear.

Children must be ten or older. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Reservations: 48 hours advance reservation required.

Interactive Etiquette Classes for Children
Saturday, May 3 and 31, 2014

Children ages 5 to 11 are welcome to learn the rules of conduct in a fun and engaging environment, with workshops hosted by etiquette expert and author of The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of Prince – Which Fork’s First? Prince Sanders.

The fun two-hour class will take place on a monthly basis at 2West Restaurant and will include a short and entertaining etiquette lesson, a three-course interactive meal to teach table manners, and a hands-on cupcake decorating activity. Upon completion of the workshop, children will not only return home with improved manners, but also with signature souvenirs, including the etiquette book, a Ritz-Carlton stuffed lion, and a linen napkin with their initials embroidered (to practice folding and placement at home).

The classes cost $60 per person, and are open to the public. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

The 26-minute display will be set off from six barges positioned between 18th and 43rd Streets on the Hudson River.

The trademark Macy's "Golden Mile" fireworks effect, featuring a shower of golden sparks stretching a mile across the river, will be enhanced this year with additional mile-long showers of sparkling red and green.

Giving Back with the Battery Conservancy
November 2014 - Available every Tuesday
This is a great opportunity to get your hands in soil and learn about perennial gardens and general garden care – and experience the best harbor views in town. From March through November, The Battery Conservancy’s horticulture team of four professionals works with volunteers on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon in The Battery’s gardens. Volunteer activities include operations like “Beautifying The Battery” by cleaning and beautifying the park and lawns or “Paint the Best Seats in Town” by painting and oiling Battery benches. Volunteers can also work in the gardens or in the Battery Urban Farm and assist with weeding, seeding and transplanting and selling the fresh organic vegetables at the farm stand. Vegetables that are not sold at the farm stand are donated to a Food Pantry by The Battery Conservancy. Guests participating in the activity are encouraged to wear clothing that can get dirty as well as sturdy footwear.

Children must be ten or older. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Reservations: 48 hours advance reservation required.
