Plant. Weed. Prep.

Dig in the soil with The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park’s Executive Chef, James Dangler, and volunteer with the Battery Urban Farm! Assist with weeding, seeding, transplanting and selling the fresh organic vegetables at the farm stand. Vegetables that are not sold at the farm stand are donated to a Food Pantry by The Battery Conservancy.

The turkey-shaped farm is home to over 80 varieties of organically-grown vegetables, fruits, flowers, grains, and companion plants. This family friendly volunteer opportunity is offered the third Saturday of the month (May-September) with volunteer harvest hours from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
