Spend the day learning about Old San Juan’s 500 year old history, while helping maintain the historic treasures such as Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Castillo San Cristóbal, Fortín San Juan de la Cruz (El Cañuelo), that have helped make it an official National Historic Site.
You will join a team of other volunteers like yourself, giving their time and energy in order to help preserve these cultural landmarks. A variety of duties include, picking up litter, pulling weeds, watering grass, along with other light conservation duties. Volunteers may also perform other jobs, such as helping to repair fences, mixing concrete, and other minor jobs assigned to assist journeymen or semi-skilled masons, woodcrafters or electricians.
