When should I book my spa appointment?
As our treatments are very popular, we highly recommend securing your spa service in advance of your arrival.
Whom should I contact to make a spa reservation?
Spa reservations agents are available to book appointment times and assist with selecting treatments. A spa consultant is available for specialized programs. Please call 787-253-8096 for details.
What additional information will I need to provide?
Please notify the spa reservations agent of any medical conditions, allergies or physical ailments. We have both male and female therapists; please let the reservations agent know if you have a preference.
Should I shave prior to my treatment?
Shaving is not recommended prior to body treatments or hair removal services. For men, shaving is recommended, but not necessary, at least two hours before a facial.
Where can I keep my personal items?
If you are a guest in the hotel, please leave valuables in your guest room safe. Lockers are provided for personal items. The Ritz-Carlton Spa, San Juan is not responsible for lost or forgotten valuables.
Should I shower before my spa service?
For your comfort and relaxation, we recommend that you shower before your spa treatment.
When should I arrive for my treatment?
To receive the maximum benefit of your spa experience, we suggest you arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your service. All treatments will end on time. Arriving late will result in adjustment of your treatment duration so the next guest is not delayed. The full price of the service will be charged.
What should I wear?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing; however, please wear whatever is comfortable. Your body will be fully draped except for the area being worked on. Hotel robes and slippers are provided for your convenience.
Are cell phones allowed in the spa?
For the comfort and relaxation of all guests, we kindly ask that you leave your cell phone in your room or turned off in your locker.
How do I pay for my spa service?
We accept all major credit cards; you may also charge your spa service to your hotel bill.
Can I combine discounts and spa packages?
Discounts may not be applied to spa packages.
Is there a service charge?
For your convenience, a 20% service charge is automatically applied to each spa service. Additional gratuities are at your discretion.
Are Spa Gift Certificates available?
Spa Gift Certificates are available in specific dollar amounts or for particular services. They can be also used for purchases in the Spa Boutique.
Are children allowed in the spa?
The spa is available to guests 16 years and older. Guests between the ages of 16 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult for services.
What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
If you must reschedule or cancel your treatment, please notify the spa at least six hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid being charged the full service fee.
