A cozy and elegant rendezvous offering refreshments from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., The Lobby Lounge also serves daily afternoon tea in The Ritz-Carlton tradition from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Evening cocktails, late night drinks and cigars are also available. Accompanying the personalized service by Manager Agnes Yu and her team of elegantly clad ladies are the soothing strains of Chinese background music during the morning, and a live music performance by elegant tunes of harps and flutes in the evening.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, an orchestral ensemble provides a perfect setting for a leisurely tete-a-tete. Guests may wish to enjoy either signature high tea offerings accompanied by Champagne - the Imperial High Tea or the Emperor's High Tea.

A fitting dress with a high Mandarin collar and equally high slits, the qipao was the height of fashion in the 1930s.  Tailored to flatter the slim figures of Shanghainese women, it became the pinnacle of Shanghai’s fashion culture and established the city as the fashion center of China. 

Allow us to transport you back to the nostalgic golden era with our “Ye Shanghai" Candle-Lighting Ceremony.  Performed by our elegantly clad ladies and gentlemen, the lighting ceremony marks the start of the evening – one that fills you with a sense of place and memorable experiences as you head out into the city of glamour and wonderment.
