Wild and rugged with a beauty of its own, the Florida Everglades is a dynamic ecosystem that is strained by today’s environment. Dwindling forests were once a thriving habitat for wildlife and now need your attention to become prolific again. You will embark on this environmental journey with a 30-minute airboat tour ride led by a skilled captain, who will describe the rich history behind the Everglades. This is a hands-on environmental education experience, where you will observe a sanctuary for endangered animals including the Florida Panther, Burmese Python and Gopher Turtles and then assist in rejuvenating the ecosystem by helping to plant seedlings and trees. This important effort will help create shade and a canopy for the rescued and endangered animals who now call the park home, providing a refuge from the strong Florida sun.
