FOR THE KIDS
Keep the youngest family members happy, rain or shine.  Rye Playland swings into high gear through the summer with rides, mini golf, and a public-access beach and pier. Three temperature-controlled indoor ice-skating rinks operate throughout the winter months.  There are several nature centers, many bike trails, and an excellent planetarium at the Hudson River Museum. The Emelin Theater, the Performing Arts Center at SUNY, Purchase, and the County Center regularly offer entertainment geared towards young families.

County Airport

The Ritz Carlton is located a quick 10 minutes from Westchester County Airport – a transportation hub for local New York and Connecticut residents, as well as  many corporate and private jets.  It is served by six major airways offering non-stop service to major US cities, and easy connections to hundreds more.  

LaGuardia Airport  (code LGA)
One of New York City’s three major airports, La Guardia is just 24 miles (approximately 35 minutes) from White Plains.  It is served by 21 major airlines with nonstop flights to hundreds of cities throughout the USA, Canada and some Caribbean destinations. 

John F Kennedy Airport (code JFK)
JFK, located 31 miles (approximately 45 minutes) from White Plains and is the main gateway for international travel into and out of the United States. It services 50,000 travelers daily, on dozens of airlines traveling to all corners of the globe. Most flights to and from the West Coast leave from JFK.
