Boston, Mass. – August 18, 2016 – It's almost fall in New England, one of the most stunning times of the year. It’s the season when vibrant colors pop all around, crisp autumn temperatures bring out layers of fall fashion and visitors to New England flock to nearby orchards to enjoy the delicious, fresh flavors of apples.  In honor of one of autumn's time-honored traditions – apple-picking with family and friends – Artisan Bistro at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston is bringing an apple cart to the city so guests can enjoy the ‘fruits’ and flavors of the season, without having to drive miles to the closest orchard.

“Our apple cart will appeal to both hotel guests and local residents,” says Executive Chef Frank Kassner. “We’re bringing the flavors and excitement of apple picking to those who are visiting and living here in Boston. Not everyone has the time to visit some of the amazing orchards throughout New England, so we're bringing the tastes of an orchard to Artisan Bistro."

Starting September 24th, and continuing each Saturday through mid-October [10/1, 10/8, 10/15] from 2pm - 4pm, Artisan Bistro rolls out its urban apple cart outdoors onto the sidewalk of Avery Street, where guests can enjoy cider donuts, apples for purchase, and spiced apple cider for a taste of fall.

As part of The Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints social and environmental responsibility to better serve and partner with local community organizations, Artisan Bistro is pleased to be aligned with the family-operated Russell Orchards farm in Ipswich, Massachusetts. The hotel will showcase and sell a variety of their fresh picked apples and apple products at the urban apple cart.
