Guests of the hotel and passersby are invited to purchase and enjoy homemade strawberry lemonade, traditional lemonade or sugar-free lemonade, along with lemon crackle cookies with powdered sugar and sugar cookies with lemon icing. Cost for each item is $5.00.

On opening day, Sunday, June 12th, all proceeds from the Artisan Bistro Lemonade Stand will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, with partial proceeds benefiting the organization on the Sundays that follow through July 31st.

And back indoors, in the spirit of the summer lemon season, Sterling Jackson, who tends bar at Avery Bar and lounge at The Ritz-Carlton will be shaking things up with this delicious lemon inspired cocktail:  Alex’s Lemonade made with Tito’s vodka, Crème de Violet, Lemon and Lemon Source Bitters. And, Artisan Bistro will be offering a delicious Lemon Berry Tart dessert with Lemon Cream, Local Berries and Shortbread prepared by pastry chef Kerry Meister.  See image here. Both items will remain on the menu throughout the summer.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $120 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 550 pediatric cancer research projects nationally.
