DANA POINT, CALIF. – January 7, 2015 – Rocco Mastrangelo has been named Director of Group Sales for the 396-room ocean front Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel announced Director of Sales & Marketing Shannon Gilbert. Mastrangelo will be responsible for the resort’s group sales efforts.

“We are proud to welcome Rocco to the sales team. Given his extensive experience in both hospitality sales and finance, we know he will have an immediate impact at the property, driving the sales efforts while having a keen eye on the resort’s financial successes,” said Gilbert. “I look forward to his contributions to the resort and Ritz-Carlton.” added Gilbert.

With more than 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rocco most recently served as Director of Group Sales for The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami and The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami. Prior to his positions in sales, Rocco served as Assistant Director of Finance in Key Biscayne. His finance experience also included Assistant Director of Finance at the Kaua’i Marriott Resort and Staff Accountant for Marriott International Lodging.

Rocco earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business. He will be relocating to the Southern California area with his wife, Michell, and two sons, Matteo and Leo.

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel offers nearly 30,000 square feet of meeting, conference and banquet function space.
