DANA POINT, Calif. – May 2, 2017 – The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel presents a series of Food & Wine Experiences in celebration of the bountiful summer season. Executive Chef Brian Sundeen invites guests to join him for an evening of handcrafted cocktails, distinctive wines, and seasonal cuisine prepared in an outdoor kitchen where he and his chefs will engage and interact with guests as they prepare the specialties of the evening.

A Sensational Summer Barbecue experience will be presented on Friday, June 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. Summertime is all about barbecue and Chef Sundeen and his team will offer a delectable menu of classic American cookout dishes prepared on a yakitori grill, mesquite charcoal grill and smoker. Refreshing Ketel One and Nolet Gin cocktails, handcrafted by the evening’s mixologist, will complete the dining experience as guests are all seated together for a family-style barbecue.

On Friday, July 28 from 6 to 9 p.m., the Food & Wine Series will feature an Italian-inspired Seafood Celebration. Along with the fresh seafood, a cheesemaker will be handcrafting cheese, as well as educating guests about different cheeses and how to incorporate them into a menu. A selection of wines will complement the evening.

A Taste of Baja Experience on Friday, September 8 will highlight tapas-style tasting dishes along with 15 boutique wineries from the Baja region of Mexico.

“The idea behind these dinners was to have them be half family dinner and half cooking class,” said Chef Sundeen. “My chef’s will be preparing all of the dishes outside on the lawn so guests can watch and learn while they enjoy a cocktail. It will be just like Sunday dinner at grandma’s house, but with world class chefs,” he added.

Each of the Food & Wine Experiences will be held on The Dana Lawn from 6 to 9 p.m. These special dining events are $95 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity and reservations can be made by calling Resort Services at 949-240-2000.
