WP24 by Wolfgang Puck Offers Lunar New Year Inspired Dish, Classic Wishing Tree

LOS ANGELES, CA – Nov. 18, 2016 – In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Wolfgang Puck brings his traveling pop-up Night Market event back to The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles on Feb. 3, 2017 in Nest at WP24. For $48, guests enjoy a signature Far East-inspired cocktail featuring herbs picked from the hotel’s rooftop garden and unlimited access to six different live cooking stations offering signature items such as Chili “Dan Dan” dumplings, Whole Roasted Peking Duck with traditional accompaniments, and other auspicious dishes. Guests are treated to a high energy dragon dance, an ancient Chinese New Year ritual that brings good luck.

WP24 by Wolfgang Puck restaurant celebrates the Lunar New Year, with a holiday inspired dish from Chef de Cuisine John Lechleidner. Available Jan. 27 through Feb. 3, 2017, the “Hot & Sour” Hot Pot Chicken for two is presented tableside in a traditional Chinese “hot pot” and showcases the colorful, elegant, and artistic talents often associated with the rooster. This vibrant, interactive dish features a whole roasted Jidori chicken, yu choy, bok choy, maitake mushrooms, lotus root, and red chilies cooked in an aromatic broth at the table.

In addition, WP24 continues its Chinese New Year tradition of the classic “Wishing Tree” adorned with red envelopes. From Jan. 27 through Feb. 3, 2017, at the end of each meal guests may select an envelope which holds a proverb or message of good fortune for the coming year.

WP24 by Wolfgang Puck features an elegant ambiance and a highly executed fine dining experience, while Nest at WP24 offers a more relaxed and playful atmosphere.
