“Stepping into Eric Buterbaugh’s floral shop and perfumery instantly transports you into a lush rose garden, engulfing the senses with the most exquisite scents true to the natural aroma of flowers. The Smoke & Roses treatments allow us to share with guests a unique interpretation of the couture-like creations from Los Angeles’ most beloved florist,” says Spa Director Kory Keith.

Each season, the spa creates a custom line of Garden to Glamorous treatments emulating the season’s bounty, often incorporating fresh fruit and herbs picked from the hotel’s rooftop garden. For spring 2017, Keith worked with Buterbaugh’s celebrated team of designers to create a line authentically inspired by fresh flowers. The Smoke & Roses collection features natural, fragrant oils that mirror the base, top, and heart of the Sultry Rose perfume and soothe the body and mind through natural healing properties. The top sweet note of Egyptian rose oil, known to open the heart for inner peace, allows emotions to flow while softening skin. The heart of the perfume, vanilla, calms the senses, while the rare agarwood essential oil, used by Tibetan monks to heighten energy, serves as the base with an invigorating smoky and woody aroma.
