This has become a tradition. Every year, the Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ritz-Carlton Montreal create a Christmas village from edible foods. From gingerbread houses, to meringue mountains and chocolate winter wonderland, our village is the talk of the town! Even an electric passenger train runs across it. Come and visit it in the hotel lobby from December 1st.

Christmas Parades

On November 18, Santa Claus will be arriving in the city.  Montreal’s Santa Claus Parade is the most popular Parade in Quebec. Children will have an additional chance to meet Santa after the parade on the 3rd floor of the Eaton Center.  Then, on December 1st, ‘le Défilé des rêves’ will amaze the children and bring back precious childhood memories to the adults thanks to the marching bands, singers, dancers, entertainers and floats.

The Christmas in the park festival welcomes all to experience the magic of a Christmas village. Visitors will find free entertainment in the form of live music, poetry, bonfires, and many surprises.

Christmas on the Avenue

The Christmas sleighs will glide down the Mount Royal Avenue and will welcome you with enchanting activities! Stroll along the Avenue and take in the shops' colorfully decorated windows! The traditional torch-lit Christmas walk will serve as this event's kick-off.
