Michelin-starred chefs Oliver Glowig and Domenico Iavarone host signature
truffle event at TOCA restaurant
TORONTO, ON – November 11, 2014 – This November, Chef Oliver Glowig welcomes fellow Michelin-starred chef Domenico Iavarone of Rome, Italy as they bring the aromatic flavours of truffles to Toronto during Truffle Week at TOCA restaurant.
From November 24th – 29th, TOCA will celebrate one of the world’s most sought after ingredients, with a special tasting menu that features truffle varietals such as the Alba and Burgundy truffle.
The week will culminate on November 28th with a signature event hosted by Chefs Glowig and Iavarone. This exclusive evening will feature a 7-course dinner with a selection of Italian wines expertly paired by TOCA’s Wine Director, Taylor Thompson.
Highlights of the menu include:
Tartare di Manzo con Acciughe e Burrata featuring Wellington county beef tartar, anchovy, fresh burrata and Alba white truffle;
Gnocchi di Patate, Spuma di Fegato Grasso d’oca e Tartufo Bianco - potato gnocchi, Quebec foie gras mousse, and white truffle;
Bignè con Gianduia e Castagne, Composta di Zucca e Tartufo Nero with hazelnut-chesnut mousse, beignet shell, pumpkin compote and Burgundy black truffle.
