Signature restaurant TOCA celebrates National Grilled Cheese Day

TORONTO, ON – April 1, 2015 – National Grilled Cheese Day is April 12th and to celebrate, chefs at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto’s award winning Italian restaurant TOCA have created a scrumptious menu that is sure to melt any cheese lover’s heart.

Inspired by the restaurant’s popular Cheese Cave, the menu features five cheesy options including the signature TOCA sandwich which contains house-made grilled sourdough, organic prosciutto, arugula salad with truffle moliterno and Le 1608 cheese from Quebec’s Charlevoix region, topped with fresh Canadian lobster for $45.

During the month of April, the restaurant will also offer four additional varieties on a weekly rotation including:

Focaccia with smoked mozzarella, tomato and almond pesto

Sour dough with pancetta, aged cheddar and pickled peppers

French baguette with brie, grilled NY striploin, avocado and caramelized onion

Multigrain toast topped with pickled mushrooms, spinach and TOCA 3-cheese blend
