Downtown hotel offers guided running tour of the city

Toronto, Ontario – July 22, 2015 – Lace up those sneakers! This summer, The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto is giving guests the chance to experience Canada’s most dynamic city – by foot. Each Wednesday, guides from the hotel’s in-house fitness studio will lead guests in a running tour of Toronto’s downtown neighbourhoods – otherwise known as the ‘6ix’ by locals.

Starting July 28th until August 26th, instructors from Innovative Fitness will guide guests along one of four selected routes, while providing commentary of the areas. Highlighted areas include St. Lawrence Market, the Distillery District, Chinatown, the Financial District and the Art Gallery of Ontario, to name a few. Each run is approximately 4-6km in length and can be modified according to fitness levels.

Run the ‘6ix’ is a complimentary program for guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto. For guests wishing to explore these routes on their own, the hotel has also developed a guide map and instructional pamphlet to accompany them.

After the run, guests of the program will receive complimentary access to the hotel’s award-winning Spa My Blend by Clarins with aromatherapy steam rooms, green-tea infused vitality pools and salt water lap and relaxation pool.
