Luxury resort’s warmly welcoming ambience a natural fit for the curated Roman and Tuscan menu of “Grandmother’s House”

Palm Beach, Aruba – September 27, 2017 – Luxury travelers seeking inimitable hospitality, stunning sea views, mesmerizing sunsets, a unique natural landscape, and mouthwatering culinary experiences have long found joyful escape at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba. Now, the luxury resort offers yet another way to delight guests, with the announcement that New York City’s Casa Nonna restaurant will open its second location at the hotel.

Casa Nonna, which means “grandmother’s house” in Italian, is as open and inviting as you would expect from its name. A surprising and delicious dining destination located just south of the theater district in Manhattan, Casa Nonna is beloved for its warm, friendly atmosphere and its standout menu, which offers a curated mix of traditional Roman and Tuscan fare highlighted by fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.

“We are thrilled to present Casa Nonna at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba as the restaurant’s second location outside of New York City,” said Steven Redkoles, the hotel’s general manager. “We continually strive to create authentic and memorable experiences for our guests. Casa Nonna is as authentic as you can get, with its inviting ambience and thoughtful menu that’s a tribute to true Italian cuisine.”

Casa Nonna at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba will draw its design and menu direction from the restaurant’s New York City home. There, from salumi, cheese and antipasti platters, to house-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas, the menu is available á la carte and family style, overflowing with options ideal for sharing. The restaurant boasts a robust wine list, celebrating the quality and diversity of revered grape varietals as the ideal complement to a meal, alongside seasonal cocktails and amaros, to suit every preference.

At the New York location, the inviting space features a round bar and open lounge, and two large dining rooms offering open and intimate dining spaces.  The dining room is accented with dark wood and copper veneers, terra cotta floors, fresh flower arrangements, a salon wall filled with a curated collection of artwork and photos, and shelves laden with Italian products and jarred pastas along the walls. Upon entering the expansive restaurant, a central highlight is the Pizza Bar, which features an elegant marble counter with full view of the open kitchen and mosaic-tiled wood-fire pizza oven.

“We are extremely excited to bring everything that makes Casa Nonna such a wonderful experience to The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba,” said Keith Treyball, President, ESquared Hospitality. “Just as The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba keeps guests coming back year after year, Casa Nonna holds a special place in our guests’ hearts, and we are thrilled to bring our cuisine and ambience to this luxury resort in a destination as exceptional as Aruba.”

Casa Nonna at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba will round out a full-bodied lineup of culinary offerings, including the renowned BLT Steak, a modern interpretation of the American Steakhouse that combines classic bistro ambiance with steakhouse fare; the newly introduced, contemporary Ritual Coffee Culture; the poolside Madero Grill; the Divi Bar and Lounge; in-room dining; and a full banquet and catering facility.

Casa Nonna is expected to open in early 2018.
