GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS – NOV. 12, 2015 – The welcome addition of cooler weather, or the “Christmas Breeze,” as it’s affectionately called by locals is an annual sign that the holidays are nearly upon us in the Cayman Islands. The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman has been busy preparing for this year’s festive season, and today is pleased to announce its and vast array of extraordinary holiday offerings, including a gingerbread house workshop ideal for families, a memorable masquerade celebration to welcome 2016, and more.

Beginning Saturday, December 12th exclusive Christmas and New Year 2016 experiences taking place throughout the resort include:

  • Gingerbread House Workshop – Join the resort team for a special gingerbread house workshop, a perfect activity for children and parents being offered throughout the season. December 12th and 19th, 2015, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Cayman Islands Ballroom 

  • Gingerbread Man Tea – A themed tea celebration which provides travelers with a way to give back during their holiday stay. This family style tea party combines cookie decorating with the opportunity to give back to the island’s local charities. These include Meals on Wheels and Save Our Youth Foundation. 

  • Christmas Day Champagne Brunch – Join the resort’s culinary team on December 25th for a traditional holiday brunch which will blend authentic Caribbean flavors with classic holiday fare. A new element added to the event this year will be the hotel’s “vintage Champagne experience” where guests can add unique and vintage champagnes to enjoy their holiday meal, including Dom Perignon. 

  • Christmas Candy Cart – During the week of December 25th, guests may enjoy a traditional candy cart full of classic candies and Christmas treats, rolling throughout the hotel hallways. 

  • New Year’s Masquerade Ball – Celebrate the arrival of 2016 and dance well into the evening with friends and family, followed by fireworks along renowned Seven Mile Beach. 

  • New Year’s Champagne Brunch – After ringing in the New Year, extend your celebration into a special New Year’s champagne brunch including traditional brunch specialties and Moet & Chandon champagne.

Beach side cabana dining and traditional holiday meals to-go will also available for guests throughout the season. Beginning in early December, travelers may also enjoy the splendor of the holiday via exclusive seasonal décor designed with Caribbean flair in teal greens, silver and gold. With Christmas Trees and holiday decor sprinkled throughout the lobby, guests will be able to enjoy the spirit of the season all month long.
