Luxury resort and Blue Restaurant by Eric Ripert both receive prestigious award

GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS (SEPTEMBER 3, 2015) – The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is pleased to announce that once again this year, the resort has been awarded the prestigious Five Diamond distinction from the American Automobile Association (AAA). Each year, AAA reviews more than 28,000 hotels, with just one quarter percent receiving the award. The property has received the award annually since 2007 with its famous Blue, the restaurant in partnership with world famous Chef Eric Ripert, from 2008.

Continuing a 79-year tradition, AAA’s professionally trained inspectors use published guidelines to conduct unannounced hotel and restaurant evaluations, assigning approved establishments a rating of One to Five AAA Diamonds. Properties identified by AAA as potential candidates for the Five Diamond Rating undergo multiple evaluations and a final decision by a panel of experts. With a far greater inventory than any other rating entity, AAA’s rating system covers the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
