The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman joins forces with the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort and The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa
George Town, Cayman Islands – December 5, 2016 – Taking steps to support the community and resources of Grand Cayman has long been a priority for the teams at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman; the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort; and The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. A recent “Together We’re Better” service project united the associates from all three properties in an all-out, extra-powerful effort to protect and preserve the stunning beauty of Seven Mile Beach, the stretch of sparkling Caribbean coastline along which all three resorts are located.
Over 115 associates from the three resorts joined up in early November for a beach cleanup wellness walk. Together, with a shared sense of pride in both the natural beauty of the island and the recent merger of Marriott International and Starwood, the volunteers combed the sand to remove unnatural debris, ensuring that the beach would remain pristine and natural for guests and island residents alike.
Making the cleanup into a simultaneous wellness walk with healthful snacks emphasized fitness and the sheer joy of exercising in an inspiringly beautiful destination.
Through its Community Footprints program, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman has held numerous beach cleanups, among other community activities; this is the first that joined associates from the Marriott and Starwood resorts, to make a greater impact as a team.
