Luxury resort to offer Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment Eco Camp

ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I.APRIL. 30, 2016 – Parents wanting to give their children a meaningful and memorable summer experience should look no further than Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment Summer Eco Camp at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas. The environmentally focused daytime program offers a variety of interactive nature-themed activities, including science experiments, photography, recycled arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures such as snorkeling and kayaking. Programing is available for children ages 5-9 and ages 10-15.

From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., day camp attendees will take part in programs such as “Caribbean Creatures,” where they’ll learn about and assist in feeding the creatures of Great Bay, or “Action Photography,” which introduces campers to the world of outdoor digital photography. Campers will also have the opportunity to play in a variety of lawn games including tennis, kickball and volleyball, as well as swimming in the resort pool. Lunch, as well as snacks and beverages throughout the day, are included.

Eco Camp will take place at the resort Monday through Friday, June 27-August 5, 2016. The cost is $145 per day, or $100 for a half day (9am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-4pm.). Introduced in 2013, Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment at The Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas boasts fun and exciting programs specifically created for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company by Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society. These immersive adventures provide guests of all ages with hands-on experiences that connect them the local environment.
