For your convenience, we have compiled answers to common questions you may find helpful in selecting a treatment or preparing for your visit to our Virgin Islands spa.

Can someone help me select the best treatment options for my skin type?
Spa Reservations Agents will be delighted to assist in planning your spa experience, including the best order and combination of treatments. Please let us know when making reservations if you have high blood pressure, allergies, physical disabilities, are pregnant or have any other health concerns.

How old must you be to receive spa services? 
Guests of The Ritz-Carlton Spa, St. Thomas must be at least 18 years of age to experience a spa treatment. Salon services are available for all ages. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for a treatment?
We ask that you please shower before any type of body treatment or massage service.

Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you choose to shave prior to your facial, please do so at least two hours before your appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to body treatments or hair removal services.

Can I decide if I want a male or female therapist? 
We have both male and female massage therapists. We will always try to accommodate your personal preferences based on our daily schedule.

Is there anything else I should do after my appointment?
We suggest that you drink several glasses of water after every massage or body treatment so that your body may more effectively process the therapeutic aspects of your sessions.

Is gratuity already included in the cost of the service? 
For your convenience, a 22 percent service charge will be added to your treatment. If you choose you may leave an additional gratuity for your therapist.

When should I check in for my treatment?
For all massages, body treatments and facial services, we recommend that you arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment so that you can allow yourself time to relax in the steam room.
