DAY 1: VISIT LOCAL MARKETS

The Charlotte Regional Farmer’s Market is one of North Carolina’s four regional markets. Frequented by locals and visitors alike, the market features fresh produce and pastries, as well as handcrafted soaps, jellies, and jams. The 7th Street Public Market – just a short walk from the hotel – is home to eclectic collections of cheese, wine, and confections, among more.

DAY 2: MUSEUMS

Charlotte’s rich art and culture comes alive at its museums. The Mint Museum showcases international art and design at its Uptown location – just a short walk from The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte –and is home to permanent collections celebrating American Art, Craft & Design, and Modern & Contemporary pieces. The Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts and Culture houses the Hewitt Collection, celebrating the passion and expression of historically- acclaimed artists including Romare Bearden, Margaret Burroughs, and Johnathan Green.

Ritz-Carlton Recommends: Attend an “Art Break” during lunch hours on the third Thursday of the month for a 30-minute tour of your museum of choice.

DAY 3: FESTIVALS & EVENTS

The Queen City hosts events and festivals that are sure to make you feel like a true Charlottean, including the “Beer, Bar-B-Que, and Bands Festival,” “Brewfest,” “Pride Festival and Parade,” “Festival in the Park,” and the “Q-City Charlotte BBQ Championship.”

Ritz-Carlton Recommends: Plan a weekend getaway around a festival that peaks your interest. Not only will you experience the local culture and cuisine, but you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the bustling Uptown atmosphere waiting just outside your luxury accommodations.
