CHARLOTTE, NC. June 21, 2016 – With vacation season finally here and fun and games in mind, The Punch Room has rolled out a new summer cocktail menu inspired by the pastimes of childhood.
The limited-edition libations are designed to turn cocktail hour into play time, and the new drinks range from a sparkling sake Marco…Polo to a Red Rover-Red Rover crafted with gin and fresh watermelon -- to a Mother May I? made with fresh mint harvested from The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte rooftop mixology garden.
“Cocktails can be serious business, but I never forget that they’re also fun,” said Bob Peters, head mixologist for The Punch Room. “Naming these new drinks after the joys of summer makes it that much more inspiring to mix them – and to taste them.”

Located on the 15th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte at 201 East Trade Street, The Punch Room is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. While reservations are not accepted for the 37-seat Punch Room, early arrivals may queue for Friday and Saturday admittance in the Uptown hotel’s Lobby Lounge -- with a select portion of each evening’s seating reserved for registered guests of the hotel.
