BEIJING, China – June 2017 – From June 13 to June 16, The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street presents the most exciting dining event in the city, a gourmet feast featuring two-starred Michelin Chef Vincenzo Candiano of Locanda Don Serafino Restaurant.

Vincenzo Candiano was born in Sicily, and his culinary consultants are his grandmother and aunt. He really likes simple and homemade dishes. His favorite ingredients are aromatic beet tops, tomatoes, citrus fruit and spices. He loves French patisserie and cannot resist the temptation to taste and buy new cheese, whether Italian or imported. He always works with humility and passion.

Chef Vincenzo Candiano’s cuisine is rich in flavor and memories of Sicilian and Hyblean traditions. To realize it, he uses almost exclusively local ingredients and Mediterranean fish. He got the recognition of the winner of “Best Youth Chef of South Italy” in 2007.

A path made of passion and humility, which makes him to be the chef of Locanda Don Serafino since 2002 and get the first Michelin star in 2007 and achieved the second star in 2013.

To indulge local gastronomes with culinary magic, highlighting the rich flavors and memories of Sicilian and Hyblean traditions, Chef Vincenzo will work with Fabio, Chef de Cuisine of Cépe, to design a menu with local flavors but with a modern presentation and concept.
