BEIJING, China – November, 2015 – The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street and BeePanda, the partner of Shan Shui Conservation Center, together present “Teddy Bear & Panda Afternoon Tea,” introducing a new and meaningful eco-friendly lifestyle concept this Christmas season.

Shan Shui Conservation Center is a nature conservation organization established in 2007. BeePanda, as a partner of Shan Shui Conservation Center, aims to integrate sustainable local production of honey and other produce into the development strategies of local communities in giant-panda habitats, which can contribute to biodiversity conservation as well as social and environmental welfare. Through production and consumption of BeePanda Honey, awareness can be raised among beekeepers and consumers about the interdependence among species in a healthy ecosystem.

BeePanda Honey is produced by Chinese bees, a native bee species that spreads pollens of native flowers in forests, smaller in size and more active in low temperatures. Chinese bees are critical to maintaining a balanced environment for local plants in the forest.

The hotel’s “Sweet Master” and Executive Sous Chef, Mr. Charles Zhao, and his innovative culinary team are crafting another exciting menu for the return of the traditional Ritz-Carlton Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea. Pastry chefs use BeePanda Honey from three different regions in China to enhance the natural flavors of Blueberry Cheese Honey Cake, Pistachio Honey Cream Puff and Vanilla Honey Cookies. BeePanda Honey is also a good accompaniment for classic scones and tea.

On December 12, a special Teddy Bear & Panda Afternoon Tea event will be held at the lobby of The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street, where the delightful “Teddy” and “Panda” will show up hand in hand to share stories with young guests on how a little bee can protect giant pandas.
