Beijing, China – Two Michelin-starred Japanese Chef Takagi Kazuo will come to The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing from December 2nd to 4th, to present together with our resident Italian Chef Amedeo Ferri the renowned combination of authentic Japanese & Italian cuisines at Barolo. Let us take your palate on a true culinary journey.

Chef Takagi entered the culinary world since he graduated from the university. Although he started later than most Japanese Chefs, Chef Takagi prevailed with talent, dedication and great passion. His restaurant Takagi in Japan is holding two Michelin stars since 2010, and his hot pot restaurant Kozithu was awarded one Michelin star in 2013. Chef Takagi dedicates himself to serve authentic Japanese delicacies and continuously hones his craft, conveying through his cuisine a new way to look at the world.

The creations of Chef Takagi reflect the seasons and unfold cultural tales. His soup is the most symbolic of his cooking, which is composed, delicate and illustrative. Diners will be treated to a refined blend of culinary traditions with Chef Takagi exquisite dishes including Tuna and Burrata Tartar, Japanese Sake and Dry Bottarga, Japanese Style Fish Consomme with Wagyu Beef Cappelletti. His exceptional five-course lunch and seven-course degustation dinner menu will reflect the best seasonal produce and be presented in his renowned artistic style.
