Adopt teddy bears, share delicacies and spread love and warmth
GUANGZHOU, CHINA – December 5, 2015 – Share delicacies and spread love and warmth with adorable teddy bears. On weekends this December, The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou delights children and families with all-time favorite, the traditional Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea at FOODS Restaurant. This year, the hotel is donating proceeds from sales of teddy bears and special T-shirts to Butterfly Education Support Association, a nonprofit organization formed by urban white-collar elites which aims to provide education support to underprivileged children through direct donations and on-site teaching, with the theme, Better education, more happiness.
Mr. Matthias Vogt, the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou expresses his excitement about the cooperation: “The prestigious Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea is a classic Christmas event held by Ritz-Carlton hotels every year. It follows the concept of “Share delicacies and pass love and warmth,” and is popular with parents and children. With this meaningful event, apart from tasting sumptuous food, we hope children will also learn the value of caring, helping and sharing with others.”
Guests can also feast their eyes on handicrafts made by underprivileged children with outstanding creativity and innovation. An art show will also be held at FOODS Restaurant during the event. In addition, the Kids’ Corner at FOODS enriching our little guests with an array of entertainments from toy pets to cartoon movies.
Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea is one of The Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints projects focusing in fulfilling the well-being of children with disabilities. Through this meaningful event, the Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton would like to encourage children to take on social responsibilities at a tender age and show kindness to disadvantaged groups in their own little way. Parents and children are able to show love to children with disabilities while savoring the Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea, and enjoy the fun-filled family activities prepared for them.
