Macau, July 11, 2016 – This summer, The Ritz-Carlton, Macau is drawing upon its unparalleled expertise in combining their highest levels of service and exceptional culinary craftsmanship to offer guests elevated and intriguing experiences. From the latest wine consumption technique using the “Coravin” equipment, to cocktail creations uniquely served with chilled ingredients and summer BBQ brunch perfect for this summer, guests can now have a new way to discover some old favorite food and drink options.

Taste of Luxury at Lai Heen
Innovation is synonymous with the delectable food and wine at Lai Heen, the latest example of which is the introduction of the “Coravin”. Lai Heen is the first and the only Chinese Restaurant in Macau using “Coravin”, which keeps wine from spoiling once opened, allowing guests to enjoy premium-grade luxury wines by the glass. Wine aficionados – with no one to split a bottle with – can now look forward to an evening of delicacies paired with the likes of some of the finest luxury wines, including Château La Mission Haut Brion Graves, Bordeaux and Château Cos d’Estournel Deuxièmes Crus, Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, to Domaine Armand Rousseau, Clos Saint Jacaues, 1er Cru, Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy and Paul Blanck, Furtentum, Riesling, Vielles Vignes, Grand Cru, Alsace. This device works by puncturing a needle into the cork before opening the bottle. Then argon gas is injected to displace the amount of wine required, leaving a perfect airtight seal when the needle is removed, preserving the wine indefinitely. At a compelling price starting from MOP588** per glass, guests can sit back, relax and take in the sights of Cotai Macau from the 51st floor, while enjoying cherished moments with their loved ones.

To promote a healthy balanced diet during this time of feasting, Lai Heen is offering a “Delightful Lunch” menu made from particularly beneficial seafood ingredients. Highlights include the Pan-fried Hokkaido Scallop with Black truffle and Japanese Sweet Potato, as scallops are a good source of vitamin B12 which is good for cardiovascular health, as well as the Fried Rice with Roasted Eel and Preserved Salted Vegetables, providing many proteins and vitamins. This 5-course set lunch is available every day at MOP398* per guest. Also, a special 3-piece dim sum platter is available for just an additional MOP68* per guest.

Treat lovers can indulge in “Summer Fiesta” that has been reinvented by infusing well-loved cocktails with tropical fruit and ice cream flavors. The “Caribbean Colada” takes guests to a tropical beach, with hints of rum, caramelized pineapple, five-spice mix and coconut ice cream; the “Affogato Dream” takes guests down an exotic and mysterious street, with the vanilla infused vodka, espresso, chocolate bitters and Dulce de Leche ice cream; the “Mojito Never Dies” takes guests on a spritely adventure into the big unknown with notes of rum, mint leaves, lime, ginger topped with mango sorbet. Enjoy the Grill at The Ritz-Carlton Café
Starting from July 24, 2016, guests looking for a relaxing yet sumptuous Sunday brunch will be pleased to find the all-new grill section at The Ritz-Carlton Café at the ongoing summer BBQ brunch buffet, with meaty delights ranging from grilled Morteau sausages and Toulouse sausages to marinated grilled chicken and beef brochettes. Available at the price of MOP498* per guest on Sundays, it is sure to please even the most voracious of carnivores.

To mark “Bastille Day”, also known as the National Day of France, The Ritz-Carlton Café will be offering a 3-day dinner set menu at the price of MOP688* per guest from July 13 to July 15, 2016, offering familiar French dishes guaranteed to satiate the taste buds, such as Freshly Sliced Salmon Tartare with Dill and Pink Peppercorn, Rib-eye Steak with Mashed Potato, Vegetables and Béarnaise Sauce and other specialties that hail from that region.
