Sanya, China, June 29, 2016 – As a major part of The Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints program which encourage social and environmental responsibility, a charity campaign – “Dundun  the Bear One Million Charity Campaign” was launched by The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay on June 29th, 2016.

The charity campaign will last for 18 months. It aims to raise one million yuan for the Bright Connection, a physical therapy center for children with autism and cerebral palsy in Sanya. The 15-inch limited edition Dundun bear is a customized product made for The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay. It is made with soft and comfortable materials that are harmless to children. Each teddy bear is sold for only 100 yuan, and the profits of every Dundun the bear will be donated to The Bright Connection.

Since its opening in 2008, The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay has been committed to bringing happiness to children with cerebral palsy and making a difference in three areas: child well-being, hunger and poverty relief, and environmental responsibility within communities.

Mr. Hoss Vetry, Multi Property Vice President and General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay, said that the “Dundun the Bear One Million Charity Campaign” is another effort made by The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay to help build a better Sanya and a better Hainan through localized charity programs, following the “Smile Asia Week” in May, a charitable initiative supporting the care of children with cleft lip and other facial deformities in Asia.
