Tianjin, China, November 01, 2017 – This November, the famous Celebrity Chef Ku Chi Fai will prepare a 3-day Cantonese cuisine feast at The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin during 16-18 November 2017. Guests in Tianjin will have the opportunity to indulge themselves in many authentic and innovative Chinese dishes.
Invited by Executive Chef Ornato Antunes from The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin, Chef Ku will bring his talents to present a unique dining experience featuring a combination of Cantonese cuisine and delicate presentation.
Chef Ku is currently the Managing Director and Executive Chef of Beijing Kitchen Restaurant. He has previously spent 4 years as the head chef at Chinese restaurant of The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka and then served as Executive Chinese Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing for 7 years. Before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Chef Ku worked at Lei Garden in Hong Kong for 12 years, widely regarded as the best “training school” of the Cantonese food industry.
In the 23-year cooking career, Chef Ku moved from Hong Kong to Japan and then to Beijing, winning numerous awards and the hearts and stomachs of many food enthusiasts around the world along the way. Chef Ku is also a media celebrity, taking part in many food programs that saw him introduce exquisite Cantonese cuisine across the country. Amongst his patrons were world leaders and superstars, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Chef Ku believes that the secret to Cantonese cuisine lies in the precise control of ingredients and cooking. Besides traditional Cantonese-style cooking techniques, Chef Ku also draws inspiration from other cuisines to bring out the flavors of Cantonese dishes. His artistic food presentation is heavily influenced by Japanese food culture. During his stay in Tianjin, Chef Ku will use his passion and dedication towards perfection to present an exceptional experience for your palate and senses.
