New Take on the All-Day Restaurant Includes Dazzling Interiors, High Energy Bar Scene and the Best of Cleveland Neighborhood Cuisine

CLEVELAND, OHIO – October 11, 2017 – Following a stunning makeover of its entire sixth-floor, The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland will unveil the new TURN Bar + Kitchen on Friday evening, October 27. The restaurant’s opening date coincides with the premiere of the hotel’s own transformation – a complete and dramatic remastering which took 18 months to complete, and which also will be shared with the community beginning October 27.

The vision behind TURN is simple yet dynamic. It is a bar, it is a restaurant and it is a gathering spot – and each space is designed to evolve audio-visually throughout the day to suit the moods and preferences of diners and bar guests alike.

A modern, vibrant place to meet for a power breakfast or quick lunch, TURN will showcase the best locally sourced ingredients and neighborhood cuisines, with interior design inspired by the city’s spirit woven in steel. In a nod to Cleveland’s manufacturing legacy, the menu will showcase evocative options including Steel Yourself breakfast and made-to-order Pho Furnace lunch. As happy hour arrives, sushi and spirits will be served “off the clock,” followed by extraordinary dinner selections including “Fire and Ice” – flambéed ice cream topped with Cleveland’s own whiskey. Late-night sharable tapas will make their appearance after dinner, as the lights go down, the mood heats up and TURN’s evening personality emerges. Great music and a weekend live DJ will attract evening revelers, as TURN adds to Downtown’s growing appeal as a new after-hours draw.

The remarkable culinary creation of chefs Richard Arnoldi and Josh Nahm, the TURN dining experience will include presentation on every table of a signature salt blend featuring seven salts from around the world. Menu choices will include not only light and contemporary choices, but also special regional favorites like Carrot Cake Pancakes, Mad River Rainbow Trout, Best Falafel Ever, Lake Erie Beer-Battered Walleye, and Northeast Ohio Cassata Cake. The day’s beverage offering will showcase made-to-order juices, fresh fruit smoothies, and seasonal flavored iced teas and “tea cubes.” The Bar will offer modern smoked drinks, batched and bottled cocktails, and a curated selection of wines, beers and sophisticated cocktail favorites.

Inspired by fire, light, mirrors and shining metals, the room’s contemporary design features wide open spaces, leather and fabric seating, sleek yet warm styling, clean and simple tabletops, and a dramatically illuminated onyx bar. The very expansive bar area encourages conversation and lounging, while inviting dining settings provide relaxed comfort and a warmly inviting vibe.
