This year, the resort will be introducing ‘12 Nights of Wonder’ – taking place December 20-31, 2016 – where guests will be delighted with new offerings each day for 12 consecutive nights. Create New Traditions and Lifelong Memories in a Premium Suite Providing unparalleled mountain and valley views, guests can opt for a spacious Premium Suite this winter season for an ultra-luxurious stay for the entire family. With a separate living room, in-room fireplace, and Club Level access, the whole family can enjoy a little extra pampering during this special time of year. To up the fun factor, guests can reserve the ‘Bachelor’s Lil’ Campout’ package where kids are greeted by an in-room teepee complete with Ritz-Carlton linens and featherbed. Winter Naturalist Programs Led by the resort’s very own Resident Naturalist Jackie Elder, the resort will be offering the following Naturalist Program activities and Après-Naturalist offerings available throughout the season:
Snowshoe Adventures: Available for individuals, groups, or the whole family, guests can immerse themselves in the beautiful mountain landscape on a guided snowshoe hike through the resort’s backyard. This tour will invigorate the body, refresh the senses, soothe the soul, and stimulate the mind while exploring and learning about this amazing ecosystem. Upon return to resort, guests can enjoy a rejuvenating session at the spa’s oxygen bar.
Perfectly Paired Snowshoe Picnic: Venture out on snowshoes to explore the forest on the way to historic Anderson’s Cabin. Once at the cabin, guests can get cozy inside and enjoy a warm meal tailored to their tastes and food preferences. Finish the experience with a piping hot dessert cooked over the fire.
High Intensity Snowshoe Workout: Exercising in the fresh mountain air is a great way to take a workout to the next level and make the most of the gorgeous scenery. This fitness experience begins with a 60-minute snowshoe workout followed by 30 minutes of stretching, and finishes with 15 minutes of rejuvenating oxygen and a healthy fresh pressed juice.
Stargazing Snowshoe Tour: Nothing is more magical than roaming out on snowshoes to gaze up at the bright winter constellations and glowing Milky Way galaxy. On crisp clear evenings as well as on snowy nights, there is a world of nocturnal beauty waiting to reveal itself. After 60 minutes of exploration, guests can cap off the evening by relaxing in the Great Room with a warm handcrafted cocktail.
Full Moon Snowshoe Hike: Watch the full moon rise while exploring the quiet slopes on snowshoes. This lunar group experience is available on December 13, January 12, February 10, March 12 and April 10.
Après-Ski Stretch Class: Relax and unwind after a day on the slopes in this calming stretch and meditation class. Using aromatherapy, sound therapy, and gentle stretches, this class will help loosen tight muscles and prepare the body and mind for the next adventure on the snow.
Cocoa and Cookies: Guests can satisfy their sweet tooth by decorating delicious winter-
themed sugar cookies while enjoying a steaming mug of rich cocoa.
Whiskey and Wood Burning: Guests can sip on a seasonal whiskey cocktail as they use a wood burning tool to etch a custom design into a set of rustic Aspen wood coasters or a cheese board to take home with them.
Lager and Leatherworking: Indulge in the spirit of the Wild West while learning to stamp leather using a variety of lettering fonts and designs all while enjoying a flight of Colorado microbrews.
